History
Dr. Sours is a small family business that was initially founded in 2015 in Mexico City (Mexico) by Sol Sours and Manuel Weisskopf. For expansion purposes and in order to professionalize our structures and especially our distrubution network, Dr. Sours was eventually turned into a Germany limited liability company in 2016. Since then, both the business in Germany and the production sites in Mexico have been a passion project of the company's five founders, dedicated to continuous business developement and the goal of bringing exclusive Mexican spirits and bitters of highest quality standards to the world.
Despite our company's young history, both the knowledge and passion behind our core products - our Cocktail Bitters - go back a very long way. Dr. Sours' Bitters are a mix of 20 years of experience in gastronomy and mixology blended with the Spirit of Mexico, its culture and its botanical heritage. After years of shaking and stirring, this encounter eventually resulted in a perfect combination for a cocktail that only needed some "essential remedies" to enhance the flavor and make it better.

Manu and Sol are the bitter heart of Dr. Sours, taking care of the development and the production of our bitters, including exploring and sourcing exotic ingredients in Mexico. Furthermore, they acquire local business parters, be it in regard to new Mexican spirits that try to enter the European market, local farmers who produce the Mezcal for our bitters or restaurants and bars in Mexico City, that use Dr. Sours Bitters for their cocktail and cooking creations. In Germany, three old friends of Manu - Wolfi, Urs and Hannes - are responsible for management and sales in Europe. They take care of Dr. Sours accouting, legal questions and contracts, web hosting and IT, logistics, invoice management and general consulting.
